Thank you so much for sharing! Just a tiny note: the standard bread in Catalunya is the “pa de quilo” a big loaf that you cut in big slices where you press the tomato to make the “pa amb tomata”. Baguettes are just a french import bread from the last 20 years :)

This is such an amazing post!! Thank you so much for all the information. I would love to see more posts like this … when we travel with my husband I found it hard to find the local restaurants, ice cream shops, coffee shops, etc. I hate all the touristy stuff.

Im a barcelonina and I just want to correct few things: the name of the rambla’s market is la Boqueria ( you have twisted the letters) and the laberynth is from Horta (take out a letter). When I’m in Barcelona I HAVE to order from Milla’s Lunch. It’s a plant based fresh lunch delivery service which deliver all across the city to home or work places. If i cant be bothered to cook its only 6€ including delivery. Perfect to take to the beach or park. We were at La Sagrada Familia today and asked a woman in the playground for food recommendations, knowing that much of what nearby would be super touristy. She told us about Paisano Cafe – a tiny little Italian place around the corner. I had a delicious smoked salmon salad, with tomatoes, green apple, baby spinach, yoghurt and lime, and they were so wonderful with our toddler. Would highly recommend checking it out.
