These are insanely good. I didn’t have enough buckwheat flour so I added a bit of Bob’s RM Paleo flour, worked well. The chocolate and fennel combination is so good. They turned out fairly big (3″ diameter) and I already scarfed down three today. I did reduce the sugar to a scant 1/2 cup and it was plenty sweet for me, will try 1/3 cup next time.

I have her cookbook, Small Plates and Sweet Treats, and I have used it many times. I have to be gluten free and now rice free too. Which is very inconvenient. But thank you for your beautiful photos and recipes. I recently found you and am thrilled I did! Have a merry Christmas!
