Hi! I tried to make it but it never became liquid. I used a blender and did small batches but it just got like cookie dough. Instead then I combined it with oats some egg and made some sort of pizza dough with it. Turned out crunchy :)

I love peanut butter, always have and use it all the time since becoming plant based in 2013…. This pumpkin seed butter sounds really good and I will definitely try soon.
We are in “Corona Virus” lockdown at the moment in Ireland so I will have nothing else to do but cook and do my garden!! You both have a wonderful website which I have enjoyed for many years… its really inspiring to look look at and review and your family friendly ideas are wonderful.

My son is allergic to sesame so Tehine is out. i’ve made a variation of this and added to chickpeas for hummus. it was okay.

but i want to do it your way roasting the seeds and dripping it on roasted cauliflower.

I’ve been vegetarian for a long time and my love/lust for nut butter fluctuates with the intensity of my workouts and first emerged when I started working out regularly and intensely after a longer break, so I’d say your theory is sound.

In reply to Floriane. Hi Floriane, happy to hear that you liked it with apple slices. If you want to increase the flavor, you can try roasting the seeds a bit longer next time as it will increase the nuttiness. Maybe add a little more salt and cardamom as well? /D

Oh my! I immediately wanted to try when I saw your post online so I went and I bought pumpkin seeds this weekend and made a jar of butter: I was so disappointed when tasting it! But luckily I tried it with apple slices yesterday and it’s heaven, thank you so much! :)
I have a feeling it might be good as well as a replacement of pesto with pasta, when loosened up a bit with water…
