I just made the falafels but I pan fried them instead of baked because I wanted that crispy falafel taste. I turned the heat down and put a lid on the frying pan to cook the centres. It was truly magnificent. Thank you.

i’ve made these in a big batch a million times now and they freeze wonderfully raw! when i want fresh falafel i pull a few out of the freezer and cook them up :)

It was absolutely delicious. Can not wait to try this one.

And great photography!
I wanted to ask if it is possible to bake the falafel in a pan or something like that instead of an oven (mine broke!).
Thanks!!

I’m currently 5 months pregnant and have started building a “food bank” of sorts for when the baby comes. I was wondering weather these freeze well (only ever made them to eat fresh – delicious btw) and if yes weather you would recommend freezing them before or after cooking ??

Thanks
Rakel

Do you have a suggestion for me to replace the mint with?
Thank you very much,
kind regards,
Angelique

Your 4 books are my biggest every day inspiration. Mostly dinner turns out to be an adapted to what I have left in the fridge recipe of yours :)
May I ask something. I have been wondering for a long time why you add baking powder to your falafels. I’m just courious what it does to the recipe?

Excellent recipe! Would you recommend using cooked or soaked chickpeas?

It’s more complicated that the simple things I typically make but was totally worth the effort. I bumped up the quantities for the falafel and hummus because I wanted to use the whole can of beans and ended up with many leftovers. I’m looking forward to enjoying them soon!

Thanks for such an amazing and well thought out recipe!
